They have great customer support services. Anthony was very helpful. The general manager was a very reasonable person and managed the issues very well. I will definitely take my car again to them for maintenance, since they take responsibility for what they do.

Call Campus Auto first! Don't waste time trying to call or google everyone else in the Blacksburg just to save a dollar on car repair. They are some good places around the area with limited hours but these kind professionals (special thanks to Andy!) took the time to convenience me and work my Daughter's car in on a busy Saturday to have a tire repaired. A rarity in a busy college town. She had previously taken her car to a very prominent local area new car dealership garage and they brushed her off and said there was no tire issue when it was clearly leaking down 10 PSI per day! They said it was just the cold weather. You don't want your Daughter or Son with a broken down vehicle on the highway by themselves at any time! Night or day! A very professional courteous staff that makes you feel like family in a matter of minutes. They take the time to make sure you meet the mechanic in person that fixed your car. It's not all about money for you complainers. No "scammers" here. You get what you pay for. Responsible car owners must realize that their vehicle components WILL eventually wear out or succumb to road damage and break down at the most inconvenient time or place. Remember, your budget or credit ability must always be prepared for this inevitable event. It's not if but when. New car or old car. They are all susceptible. If you don't have the tools and knowledge to fix it yourself, financial preparedness is your only tool for emergencies just like carrying jumper cables, a jack, a spare tire, etc. I want them to inspect everything they can regardless of what I specifically brought it in for and let me know if something else needs attention or could be a potential safety hazard. Should a safety issue exist I don't want to hear the mechanic say "I fixed the immediate problem but we will worry about that other issue when it breaks ". For safety and peace of mind, I want it fixed before it breaks. Every business must make a profit to exist and provide you a reliable service with a first class facility. Not the relic of an old service station garage but a place with modern equipment and certified staff that you can trust and depend on especially if you have a child in college and you're far away. All you parents and students, put their number on your smart phone for peace of mind and let this be your 911 for car service.
Let me start by saying one of my kids is a student at Virginia Tech and has a later model car he uses to drive back and forth to home during breaks. I am not very familiar with the Blacksburg area so when we had our first car problem I went to Yelp to find a place with good ratings. Campus Automotive took care of my car the first time around and I thought they were fair and helped me get my student back on the road.
I was traveling from PA to AZ last week and 2 hours into the trip, our air conditioning ceased to function at all. I called when we arrived in Virginia and many auto dealers and repair garages wouldn't make time for us. Campus brought us right in and worked us into their busy schedule. Our compressor was shot and unfortunately couldn't be fixed in a timely fashion. Campus assured us the vehicle was safe to drive and charged is nothing for the diagnostic evaluation. Everyone was super nice, honest, attentive and caring. They helped make an uncomfortable trip bearable. I highly recommend Campus Auto for anyone needing service and repair. Thanks Campus!
Car emergencies are not so bad when you have really good people to help and I have found Campus Automotive to be just those people. Most recently (Yesterday) my student called and reported the car steering wheel was locked and he could not turn the key. I had the car towed to the shop for repair. Anthony at Campus Automotive quickly diagnosed the car and made the repair without charging me the diagnostic fee because it was such a simple fix. When parents are stressing about the next student emergency or next school bill to pay, its nice to have some honest guys/gals at this shop to help with car repairs.
Got my cared towed by this Campus Automotive after I called AAA because smoke was coming out of the hood of my car. They seemed like nice honest people...until I looked them up on google and read the reviews. Everything they said on here came true. Campus Automotive charged a $110 fee just to LOOK at my car. They send you a link with the diagnosis which is does not tell you much of whats actually going on or why the repairs are needed. They were going to charge $1400 for repairs AND they didn´t even guarantee that the problem would be fixed after that. They said there may be internal problems, so even after $1400 the car STILL might not be fixed. I towed my car to another mechanic in the area and they fixed my car for a little lover $500 and its running great now. Even with the ridiculous $110 fee I had to pay for them to LOOK at my car and the $60 I paid to tow my car somewhere else it was cheaper than letting these crooks touch my car. DO NOT COME HERE.
It's been some days I was hearing a roaring sound in my front wheel. I took my car to them and they told me that the problem is with the axle. They changed the axle. I picked up the car and I was still hearing the noise. I took it to them again and they checked it and told me that there was also a big problem with the wheel bearings and hubs. They estimated the costs to be 700$ to fix the issue, but they fixed it for me without any charge.
