I arrived, and the place was literary packed. The cashier asked for for my name, and said nothing else as she walked back and started tending to other customers.
I promptly ordered food from Domino's Pizza, and had my food within fifteen minutes. I will never give this place my business again. Terrible customer service.
After finally waiting another twenty minutes, my pizza is actually ready. However at this point, I am furious with the lack of communication and attitude from the manager. I ask the employee, I would gladly take the pizza, should I be refunded for the ridiculous wait time. She promptly told me no such thing will be done.
1) It's Sunday night football. On top of that, you are offering a discount promotion for the VT Hookies game. How did you guys decide NOT to schedule the proper amount of staff members on a busy football night?
I proceeded to cancel my order. Counter employee said the order was canceled. However I wanted a receipt confirmation and said they do not have receipts for that. I left the store. Only to then find out my order WASN'T CANCELED, and I re-canceled over the phone AGAIN. This time I got an email confirmation.
I'll get to the point and make this short. I waited about thirty minutes standing around until I finally said something regarding my order. Their excuse was they were short staffed, and too many orders came in.
I am finally leaving a review. I am a patient person, but this has just happened too many times: Today I decided (after a few other bad experiences) to order a pick-up from Papa Johns. Called at 4:14pm. She said 20-25 min. I arrived at 4:45. They said it would be another 15 min, that there was a huge order ahead of us. “But”, I said, “when I called she said 20-25 min. And if you still need 15 min, that means the pizza has not even gone in the oven!” No apology. No discount. Just a long wait with hungry kids. I recommend literally ANY Blacksburg pizza place over this. Hey... you could even make your own in less time!
Called a order in Aaron Davis Quinn who answered phone was really rude and disrespectful would not get pizza from here very disappointed.
2)You NEED to give accurate delivery / take out times. If it's busy, do NOT suggest a forty five minute window for the food to be ready.
So we usually order Papa John's from this location. Our experiences have always been kind of "meh" as the orders are most of the time. Orders are never ready when I arrive to pick up at the predicted pick up times posted. However yesterday was the last straw for this establishment.
Also adding to the fire, all the customers standing around waiting over an hour as well. At least three of them having their orders go missing. I've never seen so many canceled orders in person before.
We placed an order, and was told the order would be ready in about forty five to fifty five minutes. No problem. I leave the house exactly an hour after the order is placed, and decide to stop by Kroger for some miscellaneous groceries.
Quality place. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick bite, that is wholesome.
So I finally give up and proceed to cancel my order, which resulting in more waiting time for someone to show up at the counter.
It is now an hour and twenty minutes over pickup time and head to the location. I figured this location always misses it's mark, and would give them a bit of a buffer time. Considered this to be a smart move on my part. Boy was I wrong.
They always treat me nice! The lady remembers the way I like pizza and that it always appreciated.
