Plenty of bright flowers in the spring and summer, and amazing fungal colonies in the fall.
We love running, bike riding, and hiking here! Super clean and restroom is available!
Clean, nice paved path with benches along the way and a bathroom near the trail head. The plaques with info about history from the mining times was also very cool.
Well managed by Montgomery parks and recreation. The coal loop and park has a few places that show Merrimac's history. There are relics to find out there as well.
