This is a great place to hang out, but during the winter months it can be brutally cold with biting wind.
Great place to lounge around, bring your dog's for plenty of petting and pet therapy for over stressed college students. Lots of free stuff throughout the year!
Great place to relax or pick up a game
It's a huge field. Plenty going on during the school year but it's a make-your-own-fun sort of place. Parking is reliably a nightmare.
One of the best spaces of Virginia Tech campus I my opinion. My husband and I love throwing the frisbee here, hammocking, or just hanging out under the shade of a tree. Surrounded by the stone clad buildings, it serves as the divider between the academic and residential sides of campus.
