Simply said, Most fantastic food. Wish I could have taken photos, but was in a business meeting. Outstanding atmosphere!
When asked to be seated downstairs and the closet space due to hip injury I was going to be seated upstairs. I can not do stairs. When I reminded the hosted I needed to be seated in the downstairs area and the closet seating she walked by many empty seating spaces and took me to the back. Apparently I was then deemed a bad customer. My service was slow. My drink never got refilled. No one ever came back to my table after my food arrived. I had to pay for my meal up front.
I have been eating at this place for years and liked it. Recently had a bad experience but when I spoke to the manager he went above and beyond to make things right. The true test of a business's customer service isn't when they get things right it is how they handle things when something goes wrong.
Great food and a fun place to be. Our server was great and we ended up with inside jokes after being there less than 2 hours. It genuinely felt like they were glad we came in, and you just don't get that much any more. Sandwich selection is nearly endless with something for everyone. Burgers are large and tasty. House made French Onion Dip is stellar! Specialty cocktails are indeed special. I could go on, but just go there.

It gets pretty busy and loud, especially on the weekends or when there's a football game. If you're looking for something more chill and quiet, this probably isn't the place unless it's 3pm on a Tuesday. That being said, the food is really good and decently priced! The salads are actually really great and I order them nearly every time. The decorations are iconic to Macado's and it really adds to the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
