If you are going to lease from anywhere in Blacksburg this is the place to work with. Super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Maintenance always arrived within 1-2 hours of calling even for non-emergency fixes. I have leased from several other companies in the area over the past several years and nothing compares to BCR's level of service.
I understand that living in a college town means that property management companies have a captive audience and therefore a weak incentive to treat their renters with respect. However, BCR is by for the least respectful company with whom I have dealt. They will consistently provide large windows of time (weeks) for maintenance work to happen and even then it is unlikely to occur within that time. I do not recommend them.
I lived her for a year on 1117 clement st with 4 other roommates, it was the worst experience i have had living in a apartment. During my stay they had plenty of remodeling done without informing us they were sending people over early in the morning. they just threw our stuff in trash bags that were in the way. another problem i stress is the apartments before moving in wasn't up to standards walls were cheaply painted, we still had holes and dents in our walls and door from the last people who moved in, and the carpet also had stains. Very very poor management as they tell you one thing in person before you sign and it is different on the contract, READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. But i would not recommend going through them unless you have no other choice to find a place to live because the will just use you for your money.
